*AC (Armor Class) has completely changed. AC is now: 10 + armor bonus + shield bonus + Dex modifier + skills/feat modifier = AC 10 = Base AC Armor bonus is the type of armor you wear Shield bonus is from your shield, if any Dex is self explanatory Skills/feat is a bonus from certain skills you may have |
*Actions in 1 round *Move max movement and attack/cast spell, or reverse *A Full Attack (Attack more than once) and take a 5 step *Cast a full round spell and take a 5 step *Double Move *Total Defense *Delay to -10 minus your intiative bonus *Ready, combines delay with a specific set of attack trigger circumstances, like attack when someone casts a spell, or cast counter spell to their mage, or attack first orc to reach 20 away. |

The basic combat steps are: 1)Determine surprise 2)Intiative 3)Attack Round |
1 Round = 6 seconds 1 Medium size character takes 5 square |

*Surprise
If the DM determines surprise is involved then surprised characters are flat footed and lose Dex bonus to their AC and are incapable of action during the surprise round.
*Initiative
Now determined by a D20 roll, highest first. The roll is adjusted by skills, feats and Dex. Modifiers.
*Attack Round
*Melee attacks are dertermined by:
D20 roll + base attack bonus + Str bonus + size modifier = AC hit
Base attack bonus is based on class and level
Size modifier is based on creature being attacked
*Ranged attacks are dertermined by:
D20 roll + base attack bonus + Dex bonus + size modifier + distance penalty = AC hit
Base attack bonus is based on class and level
Size modifier is based on creature being attacked
Distance penalty is self explanatory
*Total defense
Move your max move doing nothing but defending, no attacks, +4 to your AC for the round
*Helpless
+4 Att bonus, target is Dex of 0, -5 to AC
*Subual Damage p134 PHB
*Striking Objects
Inanimate like doors or chests
AC10 + Dex modifier(-5 for 0Dex) = AC to hit
Must do Damage above items hardness to do any damage
Damage done is:
weapon damage roll items hardness score = damage done
